چکیده

The aim of this work is to develop dual purposes solar heating system using a heat pipe evacuated tube collector. transfer fluid between the thermal loads and collector loop was oil. study provided two loads; water baking/cooking that had experimentally investigated under various weather conditions. experimental pilot unit installed in Solar Energy Department, National Research Centre, Giza, Egypt. Several test runs were performed measure all assigned parameters affect performance. designed provide hot oil surrounding inner vessel baker with temperature up 250o C while raw food can be baked/cooked outlet energy used for via an immersed coil storage tank; then relatively cooled returned circulating pump. tested positively contributed baking cooking providing as well. It considered environmentally friendly significantly enhance sustainable communities. capable produce 85 oC average about 60 during day which suitable residential industrial process well auxiliary electric source case urban areas renewable like biogas or hydrogen fuels rural isolated areas.

Interconnected Heat Pipe Solar Collector

This paper deals with the performance of a heat pipe solar collector. The solar collector consisted of an interconnected heat pipe so as to reduce the production cost by using an interconnected heat pipe because all the heat pipes can be evacuated, sealed and tested at once. Performance of a prototype of the heat pipe solar collector was experimentally examined, and the results were compared wi...

Performance Evaluation of a Forced Convection Solar Drier with Evacuated Tube Collector for Drying Amla

A forced convection solar drier is designed with evacuated tube collector and a blower. The performance of the designed drier is evaluated by carrying drying experiments at Thanjavur District, Tamilnadu, India with amla. Solar drying of amla is carried at different air velocity flow rates – 4m/s, 4.25m/s and 4.5m/s and is compared with natural sun drying. The temperature of the drying chamber r...

Performance of Evacuated Tube Solar Collector Using Water-based Titanium Oxide Nanofluid

Experiments are undertaken to determine the efficiency of an evacuated tube solar collector using water-based Titanium Oxide (TiO2) nanofluid at the Pekan Campus (3 ̊32’ N, 103 ̊25’ E), Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University Malaysia Pahang, for the conversion of solar thermal energy. Malaysia lies in the equatorial zone with an average daily solar insolation of more than 900 W/m2, which c...

Modeling and thermal parametric analysis of U-pipe evacuated tube solar collector for four different climates in Iran

In this study, thermal performance of the collector with analytic and quasi-dynamic method is evaluated based on energy balance equations for each part of the U-pipe evacuated tube solar collector. Using this approach, effect of different parameters such as tube size, overall heat loss coefficient, absorber tube absorptivity, mass flow rate and air layer thermal resistance on thermal performanc...
